  THE LITTLE PRINCE

The little prince ( Le petit prince) is a novella by Antoine de Saint Exupery. It's a story narrated by a pilot who is stranded in a desert. (It is believed that the author put his personal experiences into the narrative.Since he was a pilot himself and was once stranded in the Sahara because his plane broke down.) The impression that the story makes on you changes and depends on what age you read it. At one point you can find the adventures of this little boy too boring and stop reading but then you can feel ashamed of who you grew up to be as an adult. It maybe a child book but I believe that it should be read and reread no matter what age you are. It crosses the lines between philosophy and literature, adulthood and childhood, the things that should matter in life and the ones that matter less. It's a story that stays with you.

Here is a short summary just in case you have no idea about the book. This little story's about a lonely little prince.Told by an airplane pilot who crashes in the Sahara desert. As he's worrying for his life he meet the little prince. He learns that the little prince comes from a planet called B-612. On this planet there is a rose and the little prince loves it.But one day he caught the rose lying to him and decided that he couldn't trust her anymore. He feels lonely so he sets off on a journey across seven planets to find a friend. And that's where the story begins.

On the first six planets the little prince meets a king, a vain man, a drunkard, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. They're all too busy gaining wealth and power and to consider being his friend When he finally lands on planet Earth, he finds himself in a desert. There he meets a snake who offers it's poison to send him back where he came from but he ignores the snake. Eventually he meets a fox who makes him realize that he feels lonely because he's so far away from his rose. Finally he meets a very special human, the pilot and the tells his story to him. They seem to understand each other very well. Both of them want to go back home. The pilot is able to fix his plane but his mind is fixed on returning to his beloved rose.So he finds his own way back home with a little help of the snake.
Now go and read the book or reread it. I promise you it'll find a way to your heart and stay there.

We can not know what would happen to us in life.. While we're alive.. A car accident? Loosing someone dear to us? Being fired? Going bankrupt? Or becoming paralyzed? I read a book a while ago. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. At the end of the book my cheeks were all wet. I cried like mad. It touched my heart deeply and I wanted to share this with you..

The book is a love story about two people who have almost nothing in common. Louisa (Lou) Clark is a working-class girl living a simple life in a simple tiny village in England. Will Traynor is upper-class and he's been left quadriplegic after an accident. He was interested in exreme sports and everything exciting. After Lou loses her job as a waitress she accepts a position as Will's caregiver. By the time she discovers that Will has his own plans on what to do with his life. So she makes it her mission to show him that life is still worth living. Of course I won't tell you the ending but believe me after reading it you'll have a special place for the book somewhere deep in your heart.

But actually I want to tell you something else. It's a clinic called 'Dignitas', meaning honor (dignity) located in Switzerland. Euthanasia is legal in Switzerland since 1942 and Dignitas is the most famous clinic helping people die 'with dignity'. They help people who don't want to be burdened to their family and loved ones. Dignitas has some preconditions for the patient who wants to die; A disease which will lead to death (terminal illness), and/or an unendurable in capacitating disability, and/or unbearable and uncontrollable pain. Also the patient has to be mentally healthy. The patient has to pay over 8 thousand dollars for an accompanied suicide.

 When I first read about Dignitas in the book I was shocked. I thought that it wasn't real that it was the author's imagination but when a found out that it was truly legal I started to wonder if Jojo suffered something such as that but according to an interview her inspiration for this book was a young rugby player who was also in the book;

"It came about because I heard a news story on the radio about a young rugby player who’d been left quadriplegic after an accident, and who had persuaded his parents to take him to Dignitas, the clinic for assisted suicide in Switzerland. I couldn’t believe any parent would do that – and the story wouldn’t leave my head. And then the more I read up about the family the more I realized that things are not always as clear- cut as we would like."

I can't and don't want to judge these people but is this really legal?

He's the most famous detective of all times. He's from England. He lives Baker Street , London.H's a legend. He has got important skills and he's very smart. He is successful detective.I think he's really talented. He can find all criminal. He can solve almost every mystery. He lived in 1800's.

Five books were written by Sir Conan Arthur Doyle. It is a series. He's a hero this series. The series has 5 books. The books have 56 perfect stories. All stories are very exciting and amusing for me.The books tell about him.So ; he's very honest and respectful to people's secrets. At the same time he has good sense of humour. While he works seriously on murder or crime  , he's well disciplined.

Sherlock Holmes' best friend's name is John H. Watson. He's a doctor. He's supporting and helping Holmes. At the same time books tell about Holmes' physical  apperance. He's of medium height and slim.He has got  straight and fair hair.

So ; Today There are two films about Sherlock Holmes. The films tell about his life, too. The leading actor of films is Robert Downey Jr.At the same time There is a series about Sherlock Holmes. It has just 6 episode.Yes , I know It's so short but It's very good idea.Did you read books of Sherlock Holmes ? or Did you watch films and series of Sherlock Holmes ? I think you should do them.
Finally you should meet Sherlock Holmes via films , series especially books. So ; Last one I want to share Sherlock Holmes and him fan's lyrics...

“You have a grand gift for silence, Watson. It makes you quite invaluable as a companion.
-Sherlock Holmes”

''There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.
-Sherlock Holmes ”

“My name is Sherlock Holmes. It is my business to
know what other people do not know.
-Sherlock Holmes ”

“Education never ends, Watson. It is a series of lessons, with the greatest for the last.
-Sherlock Holmes ”

“I was fifteen when I first met Sherlock Holmes, fifteen years old with my nose in a book as I walked the Sussex Downs, and nearly stepped on him. In my defense I must say it was an engrossing book, and it was very rare to come across another person in that particular part of the world in that war year of 1915.”
―Laurie R. King

“No: I am not tired. I have a curious constitution. I never remember feeling tired by work, though idleness exhausts me completely."
~ Sherlock Holmes”

“I love Sherlock Holmes. I've got all his books, leather-bound. What I thought was great about Sherlock Holmes was that not only was he a supersleuth, he was also a hard worker. Not only did he go out and solve the crimes, he came home and wrote it all down. Fantastic. That's why I admire him.”
- Steve Coogan.

“What you do in this world is a matter of no consequence. The question is what can you make people believe you have done.
-Sherlock Holmes”

Sultan and the King

The book is written by İskender Pala.

This is a story of two powerful characters from the Otoman era. A king and a sultan. One of them is Yavuz Sultan Selim and the other one is Şah İsmail.
They want to the most powerful ruler in the world and they want each other to step down and accept that they are superior. But both of them reject this offer as they believe they are the best commander in the world.

This is not only a book of two people there are a lot of minor characters in the book . For example ; there are the twins Hasan and Hüseyin one is on the side from king and the other is on the side from sultan. They miss each other but they can’t communicate with each other. And there is queen Taçlı. Sultan loves Taçlı but he has to leave his queen on the battlefield to his enemy. Do you want to learn why ? then read this exciting book and learn the answer to this question and many more like ; Who wins the war ? or What happens to twins ? .I recommend you to read this book because I think you will read every sentence with love and zest.
