Selahaddin Eyyubi (1138-1193)


     Hi guys ! I’ll tell you Selahaddin Eyyubi. He is a very famous Muslim commander. He was sultan of Egypt , Syria and Palestine. He was the first monarch of Eyyubi dynasty. His father’s name is Necmeddin Eyyubi . Selahaddin grew in Damascus. His military life started in his uncle , Asaddein Asad ad-Din Shirkuh’s army. When he was 31 years old , he was commander of Syria carps and vezir of Egypt , then his uncle died.(1169)

     Selahaddin Eyyubi put an end to Şii Fatımid caliphat. And he declared sect “Sunni” offical. So he became the only monarch of Egypt. He used Egypt’s arable lands for finance. He launched out the connect all Muslims in Syria , Egypt. Palestine and North Mesapotamia from 1174 until 1186. He furnished to rise Muslims.


     He didn’t use sophisticated or new military teqniques in wars. He connected a lot of irregular carps. He fought with Latin Crusade Kingdoms with his all power in 1187. The crusade army was comprising thousands of christian soldiers from Europe. But Selahaddin and his army was comprising some Muslims carps and Muslim world was in chaos. Namely everything was can for Selahaddin’s army. They closed the all well in Hittin. He destroyed exhausted and washed out because of thirst , crusade army at Hittin , North Palestine . He conquered Akka , Beyrut , Bettun , Sayda , Nasıra , Caesarea , Nablus Yafa and Aşkelonin three months. Jerusalem wasFrank’s for 88 years. He conquered Jerusalem in  20 October 1187. But Sur wasn’t annexed by Selahaddin.


     Then conquering of Jerusalem i there were three city in crusade occupation. Later III. Crusade started . Alot of lordly knights and three kings joined this crusade. But the king I. Richard didn’t draw any conclusion . He left Jerusalem in 1192 and the war finished. Selahaddin went to the capital , Damascus.He didn’ live a lot. His relatives was sharing the empire , his friends saw that he the most powerful and the most generous monarch of Muslim world , didn’t have enough money to have a grave.
