KOREAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

South Korea is mostly known as having a tough education system by all around the world. Unfortunately, the rate of suicide in high school students proves this assumption without question.
High school students have a very busy life nearly as a business man's. They have to stay at school by 10 p.m and then if they want, they can study at school by midnight or later.
But in general, students don't prefer to stay after 10 p.m and they go to courses outside. Even if they leave school early (I can't believe myself because of expressing 10 pm as an early time),
They can't arrive home before midnight or 1 a.m because of courses. And in this respect, night time is more secure for people who live in South Korea compared to other countries.

Like I said before, students have time to study at school more after 10 p.m. And the time of free studying is called as "Yaja" in Korean. Contrary to its name, the free studying time isn't free at all.
Students can't use their phones during the time and they have to study in silence.
But, schools in which all students have to spend nearly all their lives have good qualifications. The quality of the education is unequivocally useful, which can be understand by the economy and the level of development of South Korea. For example, most teachers have their own tables and computers at school. Furthermore, schools enable students to discover and develop their talents by clubs focusing on different branches. The members of clubs gather after school and do activities.

Also, as I see, most students have education of playing at least an instrument and the most popular ones are guitar and piano. And to teach students to take their own responsibilities, classes aren't cleaned by anyone except students. All students have to clean their class at the end of day.
Of course, I wont talk about only good things of their education system. It is a bad fact that the tough education system of Korea brings about suicides and depressions which are common among students.

There are three reasons of those suicides: Lessons, Parental pressure and Bullying. Bullying is the most important problem of Korean education system. You can see something about bullying in nearly all Korean dramas. The Korean always emphasize this side of their life but they can't still have a solution for this. If you are a student who is passive, silent in Korea, it means you have to be careful about all around you in your school life.
Even if it looks like just a scenario, it is the most affective thing causing suicides.
As it always has been, everything has bad and good sides. And it looks same for Korean education. I hope, all countries take examples by the good sides of Korean education.
