Fruits are very important for our lives. They are healthy and really delicious. Many women eat just fruits for meals. Because they can lose weight with fruits. Patients eat different fruits for their ilnesses. Because fruits contain vitamin C. When children are ill, mothers give them mandarin and orange. Because there is much vitamin in these fruits.


Also people use fruits to make different drinks. The mothers make jam, molasses, candies with fruits. People decorate cakes with fruits. They are sweet and they look delicious.
Nowadays you can eat summer fruits in winter. But they aren't delicious in winter, of course. If you want to eat strawberry, watermelon, peach, plum, grape, cherry or apricot, you should wait for summer. If you want to eat mandarin, orange, apple, pear or pomegranate, you should wait for winter. My favourite fruit is peach.



Some fruits are grown in fields like; corn, strawberry, peanut, grape, watermelon, melon.. And some of fruits are grown on trees like; plum, apple, fig, quince, peach, apricot, pomegranate..








Our country is very rich in fruit. Because we can see different climates in Turkey. Apricot, pear, walnut and apple are grown in Eastern Anatolia Region. Orange, banana, olive, fig and grape are grown in Mediterranean Region. Corn, mandarin, orange, lemon, nut and grapefruit are grown in The Black Sea Region.
